About Us
We're located in the small settlement of Hyndford over looking the Bonnechere River. Our 100 hundred acre farm that we purchased in 2016 was not being farmed at the time, although it has a lot of farming history we had to bring it back to life. 8 years later, working as a husband and wife team with our 4 small children were enjoying making use of our property and barns to supply ourselves as well as others with farm fresh meats!
Practices
We now raise a variety of animals on our farm and love to learn about the whole process from start to finish. We calve out our own herd, raise the calves with their mothers until 10 months old and then continue to feed and fatten for consumption. We also raise a few hogs now which we have recently got involved with regenerative feed practice called Loop Resource, where we get all the expired/non-sellable products from our local grocery store which we can feed to our animals. The pigs love all the produce - especially watermelon!
We also raise 300 meat chickens each summer and process them at a licensed facility so they can be sold off farm, our birds are raised on pasture in what we call a "chicken tractor" they are moved to fresh grass twice a day and supplemented with sunshine & grain.
all of our animals are maintained with love and care and they are all processed at licensed facilities in Ontario.
