Sarah's Goat's is one part of my husband Jeff and I's (Sarah) farm. The farm has been in my husbands family for many years and we have been running it since September of 1999. We have a larger beef operation but the goats are my thing. I raise dairy goats for their milk for our own personal use and to feed calves, that will then be raised for beef. Goats have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and I can't imagine a life without them. The billy kids are raised for meat and any young does that I don't end up keeping.

Sustainability is important to me. The goats are pastured for as many months as our Canadian climate will allow for and we often use them to clear brushy fence lines and bush areas on our farm. For the rest of the year, they are fed free choice hay and are supplemented with a grain ration that I have tailor made for me. This ration is also soy free. Only sick animals are treated with antibiotics and proper withdrawal times are followed. I address worm issues naturally first and try to minimize the use of chemical wormers as much as possible.
