Our small family-owned farm is nestled in the picturesque Bonnechere Valley. We raise longhorn cattle for beef, hides and trophies. We also raise free range chickens for eggs. All of our cattle are pasture raised, 100% grass fed and finished, without the use of hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides. The cattle grow slowly, so the meat is incredibly lean and full of flavour. The cattle have a job on the property to improve the quality of the soil. They are grazing on rotation, allowing the pastures ample time to recover and each year shows improvements in water retention, biodiversity and nutrient density.

At Opeongo Springs, we are constantly learning about and implementing sustainable and ethical farming practices. Our longhorn cattle graze on a rotation on our large, meandering pastures with natural forest shelters. We believe in providing our cattle with the best life possible, allowing them to graze naturally and lead stress-free lives.
